Description

Pointed the SW Esprit 120 near Sadr and shot HSO off and on over the last month with 180s subs for Ha&O3 and 300s for S2. Got to a total of 17.6 hours and decided to process. Went with a HSO rather the SHO for an easy fire color rather than green. It might be fun to also get broadband RGB and blend it all together if only the sky would cooperate. Combined HSO masters while still linear with pixelmath with tiny offsets to better align the channels. No other color adjustments were done. Stars were extracted with StarXTerminator after stretching and the tendency towards greenish tones reduced with curves by slightly increasing red and blue and decreasing green.  Stars then put back after mild TGV denoise of the starless image and then de-emphasized.

Description: For 2nd version: Denoised S2/O3 using EZ denoise script then made HSO color. Stretched using offsets to center colors in histogram. Local histogram adjustments for contrast. Removed stars to their own image. Brightened the starless image and adjusted MLT bias in the 4 and 8 pixel size scale for more detail. Increased black-point in starless image. Decreased green in stars and slightly raised red and blue with curves. Increased star color saturation then put stars back into starless image.
